About Bankside Angler

This site answers one question at a time for a person fishing largemouth bass from shore in their first season, with a spinning rod and a limited budget. No boat, no electronics, no tournament history required.

How an answer gets written

Every page starts as an evidence packet. The packet collects what the research says, what the manufacturer claims, what named practitioners report, and what anglers pass around without checking. Those four stay labeled and separate on the finished page, so you can see which parts rest on a study and which rest on one angler's testing.

Where a claim needs a physical test we have not run, the page says so and the recommendation waits. We would rather leave a gap than fill it with a guess.

What we will not do

• Invent a field test, a customer, or a fish we did not catch.
• Recommend a product because it pays the highest commission.
• Attribute a technique to an unnamed consensus of experts.
• Publish a page that repeats one already here.
